Secret Barnett bridge 'sinks' Perth Freight Link according to Labor
The Barnett government's $1.6 billion Perth Freight Link has been "blown out of the water" according to the state opposition after a report revealed a new $250 million traffic and rail bridge is needed in Fremantle to accommodate the plans.
The Liberal government is motoring along with the truck highway, which will connect Perth Airport to Fremantle Ports.
But Labor has obtained a submission from the Barnett government to Infrastructure Australia in 2012, claiming a new road and rail bridge was needed to handle the container traffic into Fremantle Ports, which will blow out to 1.2 million by 2023.
