City of Melville‬'s vote to spend $50k on promoting Row 8

City of Melville‬'s vote to spend $50k on promoting Row 8 prompted a request for Special Elector Meeting ‪

 
At the council meeting last night both the Officers recommendation (Late Item T15/3645) and the Motion with Notice from Cr Schuster requesting the Council allocate $50,000 to implement a public information campaign to support the construction and operation of Roe Highway Stage 8 were supported by Council.

In response a "Request to hold a Special Meeting of Electors" was lodged.This is a meeting that is held by the Electors for the Electors - where residents may ask questions of the City and also move motions.This is required to be held within 35 days and the City is required to place notices in local newspapers.
